The owner has put extensie efforts in converting her not only for long range polar trips around the north but also for crossing the Atlantic ocean and cruising the Caribbean. The whole ship now has AC in all areas including the engine room, water maker and new high-end technology rotating stabilizers. For a vessel this size this makes all the difference in the North Sea and crossing the Atlantic. During her voyage down to Portugal from The Netherlands she sailed thru the English Channel and Bay of Biscay where there were 4-5 meter waves going passed unnoticed. Coffee cups stayed firm on the table and the passengers could get on with their normal activities. The vessel was only moving steady slightly up and down without rolling side to side.
