This Dutch build seagoing motor vessel is idealy suitable for sailing in and around Europe. The Noth Sea, Baltic sea as well as the French cannals are its territory. The designer Dick Boon / Vripack listened to the personal wishes of his client the 1ste and current owner of the Saenden. The main design criteria were; Safety, Sailing capacity and Comfort whilst sailing and during long stays on board. The noise reduction has been one of the stress points resulting in a 52 db noise level with running engine in the saloon. The stabilizers make sure that every trip is comfortable for all passengers on board.
The lay out is different from all other Doggersbanks with it's 3 cabins and 2 bath rooms and the galley (more kitchen) in the aft part of the yacht. The enormous aft deck allows you to invite a large amount of people.
This yacht is a perfect match for sailors considering to make the transition from sailing to powerboat sailing and still wanting to be able to sail sea.
Fully equipped Doggersbank from first owner, suitable for sea trips and French channels.
If you are looking for a yacht that allows you to make long trips and want to stay on board together or with guests, then this Doggersbank is an ideal choice. The design is based on the MY 1570 by Dick Boon / Vripack and is extended.
There is a huge spacious aft deck where you can enjoy with friends and family for long summer evenings. Due to the special design of the underwater hull is the "Saenden" very seaworthy and includes all the seas to her sailing area. The owner has good memories of crossing to London, but also long vacations in and around the Scandinavian waters. Due to the limited vertical clearance you can also enjoy France. In 2010 the yacht was completely repainted and the teak deck re-rubberized. Also all the technique was checked and for example all the hoses are replaced to and from the engine and all hydraulic pipes. This yacht is in any field in top condition and the entire service history from construction to now is documented. The hull of this yacht is lined with damping plates, which makes the noise level of this yacht very low. There is a Merford report presenting all DB values. A very quiet ship!
Round bilged (Lloyd's Hull certificate).
Extra heavy keel bar, Spade rudder.
2 hydraulic steering positions with Lloyd's Orbitrol steering + joystick steering.
Double glazing in aluminum + 2 hinged windows in salon.
Vertical clearance: All up +/- 10 m, with sprayhood up and mast down +/- 4 m, all down less than 3,50 m.
The layout of this Doggersbank is strikingly different, in particular by placing the kitchen and round seat behind the salon creates a remarkably spacious layout with plenty of living comfort. Also the 2 aft cabins, which are separated by a sliding wall and together have a private bathroom with shower and toilet, have a very well thought out layout. In the rear there is also the "utility room" with washer, dryer and extra large freezer. The owner's cabin is located in front of the ship and also has a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
Teak interior, Blue fabric upholstery with yellow curtains, floor teakline.
L-dinette opposite spacious kitchen with Miele 4-pits ceramic cooker, corean worktop and ITHO hood. 3 Cabins, 1 utility room and 1 workspace.
6 Fixed berths (1 detached double bed, 1 double bed, 2 single beds).
Engine, electrics, water:
Professionally-insulated spacious engine room where all devices and engines are easily accessible. The Volvo Penta main engine has a PTO for hydraulics.
A useful extra option is that a sail drive is mounted on the generator via its own gearbox, so that the yacht has a spare engine if the main engine has a malfunction.
This generator also has its own PTO so that there is always a backup for the hydraulic system. This ship is very well thought out and the basic criteria for every thought have been: safety and comfort.
