Bayliner 38s are handsome two stateroom, two steering-station, aft-cockpit boats with a transom door that are popular for good reasons. The propellers are recessed in tunnels to improve efficiency and reduce draft. Plus, this boat is unique: she has been re-powered with highly desirable Cummins 210 diesels, the generator has been rebuilt, the hull professionally painted, fly-bridge seating structures replaced and the carpet and upholstery are recent. The galley has a household style Norcold 12/110 volt refrigerator with freezer section; double stainless steel sinks; Princess 110 volt three burner stove with oven; microwave oven; lots of counter and locker space. The heads each have recent Jabsco manual marine toilets connected to a holding tank and ‘Y valves. The interior has recent blue/gray fabric upholstery; recent dark blue carpet and teak and holly sole in the galley.
The yacht has hot and cold pressure water. The hot water is produced either by the engines or 110 volt power via either the generator or shore-power. Capacities: Fresh water - 80 US gallons; Holding - 40 US gallons.
Cummins 210 HP turbo-charged, fresh-water cooled (heat-exchangers) diesel engines installed as re-builds in 2017; re-built Borg Warner ‘Velvet-Drive transmissions with new transmission coolers; engine-beds and engine-room structures were checked before engine installation; propellers re-conditioned (2017); new hour meters showing 5 hrs. to the time of listing; 2 bilge blowers; trim-tabs; Racor primary fuel filters; new sound-proofing materials in the engine room.
The yacht has both 12 volt DC & 110 volt AC systems. The 12 volt system has 3 engine starting batteries and three house system batteries (2017); alternators on the engines; selector switches; circuit breaker panel. The 110 volt system is supplied either by shore-power connection or via a 6 KW. Onan generator (rebuilt 2017).
