Ingrid cutter rigged for sale in Oregon. Custom built Atkins Ingrid with mahogany on oak and in
very good condition. This awesome Ingrid has been sailed all around the world and faithfully maintained. Originally built by Roger Smedley and Jack Atkins designed, this 46 LOA cutter is an awesome Bluewater cruiser. Teak house, decks and caprails. Includes original master craftsman certificates and plans. As a provenance she was made out of WW2 cruisers. The Navy scrapped them on Terminal Island in L.A and a cottage industry arose in Willmington, Ca. The Fairanne is a product this. Roger built it for his wife lady Jane Grey Smedley. Own a part of an awesome history in a great sailing vessel. The current owner has done quit a bit of work on F.A. over the last 18 years they have had her. She was refastened in 2001 (2200 screws below the waterline) and the standing rigging was replaced at the same time. The cockpit was rebuilt and new fuel tanks were put in in 2002. The rudder was rebuilt around the same time. She was re-powered her with a 38 hp Kubota in 2003. They built a new mast for her in 2008. They stat that she has been a real joy to own and sail. All the sails are in good shape, all the electronics and refrigerator are in good shape. She was hauled out in 2017 for bottom paint and zincs and all looks good. There is not a recent survey. At present she needs a paint job and some bleeders addressed which are on the to do list. The bright work in good shape.
